Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka had a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja on Thursday.

The octogenarian, speaking to journalists after the meeting said: “I came to discuss national and international matters, general matters, that’s all!”

The meeting which took place in the president’s office, was scheduled as private and lasted about one hour.

“I will be holding a press conference in about a week. You can ask me any question then, but now, please I will just like to get away,” Soyinka told journalists after they probed further on the details of the meeting.
