Tension In The Academy As All Contestants Are Placed On Probation - MTN Project Fame 9

This week on MTN Project Fame 9 – all contestants were placed on probation and … Baba for the Girls crooner,Harry Song featured as guest judge.

Fans and followers of the MTN Project Fame can expect an interesting show next week as all 14 contestants were placed on probation by the judges.

Even more interesting is the return ofWinner following protests by the audience during the last elimination show. The judges couldn’t agree any less with the audience’s wish for the singer to return to the academy after she was initially axed.

The week’s show also had Reggae Bluescrooner, Harrysong as special judge. Harrysong, who goes by the moniker,Baba For The Girls, was visibly impressed by the talents on display.

The theme for the week’s performance was African Contemporary music and the contestants thrilled the judges and the audience to great singing and spectacular dance moves.

The show opened with Elizabethperforming Love Don’t Care by Simi. Pereperformed Surulere by Dr Sid ft Don Jazzy while Eli performed Fall in Love by D’Banj.

Kitay did justice to Kiss Daniel’s Mama asDapo proved himself with Wizkid’s Final (Baba Nla). Winner rendered Yemi Alade’sFerrari to the audience while Blessingperformed Tiwa Savage’s Ife Wagbona.

The duo of Benjamin and Gabriel didDuro by Tekno and Down on Me by Sarkodie respectively while Yusuf was in his elements as he performedShakitibobo by Olamide.

Steve sang Eleko by Mayokun and Oluchidid Right Now by Seyi Shay. Okiemute,who was the last contestant, rendered her version of Osinachi by Humble Smith.

Having sat through the performances from the contestants, it was time for the Judges to deliver their verdict for the night.

Though the 14 contestants all drew commendations from the judges, it was decided that all of them be placed on probation. Now their fate lies in the hands of the viewers at home to save their favorite contestant.

Harrysong closed the show by serenading the audience with his hit track, ‘Reggae Blues’ alongside Project Fame Season 4 winner, Monica and Season 7 winner, Godfrey.
