Read excerpts of the interview below:Counting 10-years in the movie industry, what do you think makes a good script? The elements that go into script writing cannot be quantified.

I feel asan actor, we crave to read scripts that are original or have a fresh take on an old idea. We would like the story to be relatable and for the characters to be believable and threedimensional. You came into the movie industry through a popular TV series, Tinsel and you have maintained the same role till date, how have you been keeping up?The role of Bimpe in Tinsel is so different from that of Linda Ejiofor.

I enjoy the challenge of playing someone who does the opposite of what I would do. As for her stupidity, well that is an integral part of the character; she puts her foot in her mouth a lot. Unless the writers decide to take her in a different direction and I will continue to play Bimpe as written.Linda EjioforCan you mention few people you look up to in Nollywood? The list is endless because I have a handful of names to mention but I will just mention a few and they are, Rita Dominic, Joke Silva and RMD.

Looking back at where you started and where Nollywood is at the moment, what do you need the industry needs to do better?A lot has improved over the years but we all face one major problem which is finance. Financing is a major challenge in Nollywood. Compared to Hollywood, we have to work on a shoestring I think I would change that.

If producers had more resources at their disposal I am certain it would help improve the current standard.

– Alex OkorojiHardly a day goes by without us not hearing about a case of one ‘Domestic Violence’ or another, whatdo you have to say?I think we all need to realise that every individual is unique. Simply because something works for you does not mean that it will work for your neighbour.

I think violence of any sort is unacceptable and domestic violence should not be condoned. I think that as humans, we need to use the gift of speech that God gave us, to communicate. Everyone needs to use their words instead of their fists. And when you do speak, try to be kind, especially in those moments when kindness doesnot come naturally to you.

Tinsel star Linda EjioforCan you tell us about your greatest beauty secret and how you manage to maintain your shape?Nothing complicated, I do not sleep with makeup on my face. I drink loads of water, I moisturize and when I am out I use sunscreen. I work out, I watch what I eat and I do not eat after 7pm.You just featured in a new movie 8 Bars and a Clef, can you tell us aboutit? It was exciting and challenging, but in a great way. I had never played anything like my character in ‘8 Bars and a Clef’. I had a fantastic time becoming her and I would not change anything about that process.Dyslexia is not something that is regularly addressed in mainstream Nollywood.

‘8 Bars and a Clef’ helps turn the spotlight on this condition and shows us how a very determinedyoung musician excels in spite of hischallenges.
