VAN GAAL BOOED AS HE VOWS TO BRING FA CUP BACK TO OLD TRAFFORD

The Red Devils boss was subjected to some dissenting voices from the crowd as he spoke after the 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was booed at the beginning and end of his speech marking the club's final home game of the season.

The Dutchman took to the pitch following the 3-1 win over Bournemouth to give the traditional address that follows the final Old Trafford game of each campaign but was greeted by ripples of derision and a smattering of applause.

Despite the mixed reception, Van Gaal thanked the fans for their support throughout the season and vowed to bring the FA Cup back to Old Trafford, ahead of the final with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"Thank you for your unconditional support. Wherever we've played, you've never let us down," the Man United boss said.
"Now, we want to bring the FA Cup home to you. You deserve it. Thank you!"
